There are three basic steps to hitting your
drives 20 yards longer. You can't expect to hit the ball longer by taking short cuts, using only one or two of the steps.
All three must be accomplished to get that 20 yards on your drive. Failure to get that extra needed 20 yards does not happen,
it is a choice. Modern golfers think they can buy their game and magically start hitting monster drives.
First, take the time to have a video
evaluation of your golf swing and get checked for your club head and golf ball speed. Incorrect swing path and impact
lead to loss of distance and direction. A brand new club does not correct your swing flaws.
Second, have your present driver evaluated and tested for club head speed,
ball speed and spin rate off the face. Too much spin will shorten how far your existing driver will travel. Have your driver
tested for ball impact on the face. Off center hits are usually the result of poor swing mechanics and poor driver fit.
Third, you can only swing as effectively
as your body will allow. Many golfers have physical issues preventing maximum club head speed and don't even know what it
is.
